Class Information and Procedure

  • Cookery classes at Cook ‘n’ Style are usually conducted during the summer vacations i.e. from mid April to mid August. These include morning & evening classes. The morning classes start in April and continue till the 1st week of July. Evening classes take place from the 1st or 2nd week of June.
  • Advertisements about the courses are published before commencement in leading newspapers like Tribune, Punjab Kesari, Times of India, H.T., Dainik Jagaran etc.(Kindly look for our Advertisement on Sunday Editions on back page from first week of April to first week of May every year & facebook.
  • There are about 20 to 24 courses conducted, which include almost all vegetarian preparations (except 2 courses i.e. Cakes & Puddings with eggs and Non-veg snacks & dishes.) The courses expose students to a variety of cuisines. Students can pick any course/courses of their choice.
  • The short courses are offered for four or six days. The course fee is based on duration of the courses and is required to be paid at the time of enrollment. Details of the fee and payment options are given in the pamphlet icon.
  • Students are required to come early on the first day of every course to complete the enrollment process. Students can also get themselves registered in advance without any extra registration charges.
  • Discounts schemes are offered to students who enroll for multiple courses. Advance payment has to be made to avail this scheme. Please call us on the given numbers for further details on discount offers.
  • Students who are unable to attend the course after registration have the option of attending the same course in the following year. Students can, however, avail the recipes if they are unable to attend any course. For outstation students, they have the facility to purchase the recipes.
  • Students are taught three to four recipes in every session with different variations. Teaching methodology involves live demonstration. The seating arrangement of the classroom has been done in step gradation to ensure easy view of the process. In addition, LCD screen is also provided for clear view of preparation and procedures. Students are not expected to bring anything, as all ingredients will be provided by the Institute. Girls practice chopping & other cooking tchniques personally.
  • Each class is conducted for three hours, with a break of 10 minutes. Printed recipes for each course are provided to all students.
  • The classroom is air conditioned with full power backup.
  • Certificate of Merit” are awarded to students attending minimum 30 working sessions.
